GOLDEN HOUR DOULA

BIRTH AND LABOR DOULA SERVING

BOONE, NC AND SURROUNDING AREAS

Welcome!

You’re on a beautiful, life-changing journey, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. My desire as a doula is to be the known part of your birth as you navigate the unknowns, help you understand your options, and then watch as you make confident, informed choices. My heartbeat is to stand beside your family with steady, compassionate care—honoring the unique story of every birth, every mom, and every baby. I am constantly in awe of the strength given to women for this good work and consider it joy every time I get to witness the arrival of these precious lives into the world.

Thank you for considering me for your birth team.

~Elisabeth

What it looks like to work with me

01.

Consulation

Getting a chance to know your potential doula is an important part of finding the right fit for your birth experience. It’s so important I believe it’s worth taking the time to meet with several doulas to find the best match for your family. To make this process easier for you, I offer a free 30-minute online consultation. It’s a chance to ask all your questions about birth, hear about my experience as a doula and chat about anything else on your mind.

02.

Doula Package

I believe that birth is not just a physical experience, but a holistic journey, involving the mind, heart, and body. I have designed my Doula Package to reflect these beliefs. You’ll learn gentle, practical techniques that support optimal positioning for your baby during pregnancy and birth—movements and positions that create space and balance, supporting both your body and your baby. We’ll also take time to reflect on your hopes, expectations, and any fears you may have, so that I can tailor my approach to supporting you through labor.

03.

Birth and Postpartum

When the time comes, I will be with you to provide continuous support through labor, guiding you through movements and positions that create space and balance for both your body and your baby. After welcoming your baby together, I provide 1-2 hours of immediate postpartum support and then 1 postpartum visit within the first 1-2 weeks after birth.

Your Doula

ELISABETH GARNER

My heart’s desire as a doula is that you’d feel safe and seen in your most vulnerable moments, but also that you’d feel incredibly empowered for your labor! It is a joy of mine to get to know each couple as they prepare for birth. What an honor to be welcomed into such a tender space for families as their birth doula. I truly see it as a partnership where we are working together to create a restful space for your heart and mind so that your intelligent body can settle into the good work of bringing baby here!

  • My experience with Elisabeth was such a gift. She brought a calm but confident presence to the room, which assured me that everything was going as it should. She's passionate about what she does, does her work so well, and made such a positive impact on my birth that I'll never forget.

  • As a first-time mom, I had so many fears and uncertainties, but Elisabeth brought so much peace, comfort, encouragement, and support throughout my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum journey. During labor, she was truly an answered prayer. Her calm presence, encouragement, and servant’s heart helped me feel safe, empowered, and cared for during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. She supported not only me, but my husband as well, and helped create such a peaceful atmosphere as we welcomed our baby into the world.

  • We are so grateful for our doula, Elisabeth Garner, and the support she gave to us during one of the most beautiful times of our lives - welcoming our daughter. We truly could not have asked for someone more compassionate, encouraging and nurturing to join us in this birth experience!

  • Elisabeth made me feel heard and reassured, and covered many approaches that could work for us, with no guilt when I could not find time to utilize some of the resources that had been initially presented before delivery day. Delivery ended up going better than expected for me, and I credit much of that to Elisabeth for walking me through options day-of, guiding me through various movement to move baby down while in labor, and knowing how and when to show support. One of my first thoughts post delivery was - I could do that again!
